About OurBoard and TrainDog Training

Boarding and training are excellent fits for pooches who need individualized concentration and an immersive experience. B&T allows Fido to master obedience under the close guidance of our experienced trainers while also being exposed to real-world surroundings, such as local parks, pet stores, and other public spots.

However, not all dogs are eligible for this particular program. SMS trainers will assess your pooch to determine whether it’s the right fit for this experience, as some furry friends cannot handle being away from their humans. Sit Means Sit honestly changed our lives. Cameron and Jo are amazing trainers who both overflowed with knowledge, patience and professionalism. Within a few hours on the very first day of training, we received a video from Cameron of our sweet Leia that made our jaws drop. Our anxious and extremely energetic dog was following commands, walking calmly, sitting in place…all with her tail wagging away. She is still our sweet girl with all of her personality in tact, but she is so much happier. Just like kids, dogs thrive with healthy boundaries. Cameron and Jo taught us how to establish these boundaries with Leia. Our quality of life has improved. Leia’s quality of life has improved. We spend time enjoying our dog rather than running around after her. Jo even spent time with our 11 year old son to show him how to reinforce positive behaviors with Leia. Our dog, who used to drag us down the street, walked calmly next to my small 11 year old son even with so many distractions around. To say we are pleased is an understatement. This has been life changing. Our only regret is not going to Sit Means Sit sooner. Thank you to everyone, but especially to Cam and Jo!

As previous dog owners, we found ourselves in over our heads training our high-energy rescue who is a Great Pyrenees, Siberian Husky, Lab mix. We tried books, private in-home training, and other resources to guide us but we’re finding some things would stick, others were a real struggle with our somewhat defiant and highly intelligent energetic girl. Our biggest challenges included leash pulling, mouthing/biting, no boundaries, and resisting her crate. After one day of training with Cameron and the team at SMS we saw improvements. By the time we finished our three day-training sessions we saw major improvements. While we were reluctant to use an e-collar on our pup, we have learned to understand and appreciate it when it comes to corrections. Consistency is key with this program like any, and the helpful videos the trainers share throughout their process help tremendously in continuing to implement training in your personal space. We are all in a much happier place after training with Sit Means Sit. The team is so passionate about their trade and you can visibly see their genuine connections with each dog they train. Pricing for the day-training program is reasonable considering once you complete the program, you’re able to opt into future classes without having to pay. Highly recommend!
